Popped in for a quick lunch and the food is insanely good - everything homemade, fresh as you like. Staff were lovely aswell, lady called Sharon was diamond. Can't recommend enough for a proper decent home cooked meal and friendly, attentive service 👌
What a really nice classical pub. I went on a Monday, so it was quiet, but not empty. They just launched their new menu, which looks great. It has all your classic pub grub favourites plus a few specials. I tried the ultimate tikka fries (only to be ordered if hungry), absolutely a must try, it was delicious. Beer tasted great, although nor much to offer in real ale. Service was fast and friendly, made to feel welcome. Great value for money, can't wait to go again
Beautiful food, first class service and a lovely friendly atmosphere.
We will definitely be back
Absolutely splendid place, marvellous food, atmosphere and lovely staff.
Great value for money.
And a perfect pint of Bass.
Popped in for the lunch time menu. Both my husband and I had the ciabatta, BLT & Cajun Chicken. All served by our friendly server who unfortunately we didn't ask her name. Absolutely delish 😋 and lots to eat, followed by chocolate fudge cake and cheesecake. Always excellent food and friendly service. Atmosphere was warm & welcoming, with twinkling lights all set up for Christmas. Keep doing what you're doing Craig & Team 😊
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub felt comfortable and welcoming. I thought the food was of an average quality but a bit overpriced, which would be my only criticism. Other than that, it was a nice visit and I'd return in future 👍🏼
I think it’s important to inform everybody that this establishment is one not to miss.I have eaten in restaurants/Pubs throughout England and Europe and I can honestly say that the menu here is perfected to a high standard. I believe the food quality and menu ideas make an excellent meal and the prices are just unbeatable when It Comes to talking about a menu with this much class. I just want to thank the chef for making sure everything is cooked fresh and great feasting.I do have a special mention for the waitress Sharon who made sure we were met properly at the door and made us feel at home, she described the menu items to us and helped us with recommendations and she sure wasn’t wrong. She couldn’t do enough for us and brought some banter and some chat along with the experience,In my opinion the level of service she gave us I’m surprised she isn’t a supervisor and I do hope she is valued by this establishment. Thank you again and I will be back in October!!!
I’ve visited several times
And the weekday set menu is Great value
But
Service is very slow if it is busy, over a hour for starters and meals not coming out together.
Sunday carvery is way over priced for what it is (gravy just powder and water no stock or flavour, veg seemed frozen and not cooked and I like my veg aldente, the mash seems like a cheap smash with a bit of parsley no seasoning, frozen deep fried roast pots and parsnips the other veg swimming In water, everything wasn’t hot and this was at 12noon, the meats and yorkie were good)
You can get better and cooked from fresh roast for £13 shouldn’t be over a tenner for that quality
My tip: Go here to take advantage of lunch offer, the food isn’t worth the full price purely based on freshness and quality of the food on offer, the service staff I must say are helpful and friendly.
